Secret language of flowers

On the eve of March 8 – International Woman's Day – I want to talk to you about flowers. Traditionally, women are given bouquets on this day. For men, the choice is offered among a variety of types and colour shades of flowers, and knowing their meaning you can not only give a bouquet, but also express your feelings in the language of flowers.

Unfortunately, the flowers quickly fade, bringing only a short-time joy. I appeal to you, men! Give flowers, but also think about the original gift – a picture with flowers that will remain forever and which will delight your beloved one day after day. A bouquet of flowers is a very bright way to please dearest person and to cheer her up. It is not necessary to give flowers only on holidays, because a bouquet of flowers is not only a way to express your attention and please a person, but also a way of self-expression.

An excellent addition to any bouquet will be a picture with a picture of flowers. In my collection of paintings there is a whole series of works devoted to this plot.

The language of flowers originated in the East and was moved to Europe by two travellers who later described their observations in books. Flower dictionaries were fashionable and published throughout the 18th century, describing the meaning of a particular plant. The language of flowers was very popular in France. Floriography, or in other words, the language of flowers – is a symbolism or meaning, a secret expression of a particular mood or feeling. In one bouquet of flowers you can wish a person a lot of good by using flowers such as bells, yellow poppy, buttercup, peach flowers, or secretly say words of love with the help of flowers such as acacia, red carnation, forget-me-not, rose, red chrysanthemum or red tulip. So, I will describe for you this secret language of flowers, which will certainly help you to express the words of love with eloquence.

Each flower has its own meaning, but a rose is undoubtedly the leader of the expression of feelings, since, probably, there is not a single woman in the world who does not like roses.

What are the meanings of different flowers?

White roses are always a symbol of innocence and purity. They are given to express sincere love. Therefore, a bouquet of white roses is very often given for a wedding.

Red roses are a symbol of deep love, burning passion and violent desire. The combination of red and white roses in a bouquet means unanimity, loyalty and spiritual integrity with your partner. Wine-coloured roses, as well as scarlet ones, mean passionate love, admiration, love at first sight.

Pink roses are a symbol of grace and elegance. Pink has the widest variety of shades. Very often they symbolize the beginning of the relationship, hinting at the love that will flare up in the nearest future.

While presenting roses of a cherry or bright pink colour, it is possible to express the gratitude, and light-pink roses will tell about your affection for the recipient.

Yellow roses mean that your fan cares about you. Therefore, yellow roses are often given for a birthday. It is a symbol of recognition and friendship, admiration and worshiping.

Iris symbolizes friendship, faith, hope, promise for the future, wisdom.

White lily in the language of flowers means purity, virginity, majesty. Possible meaning – "It is divine – to be close to you".

Lotus – happiness, health, long life.

Yellow poppy in the language of flowers means wealth, success. Red poppy – pleasure. Field poppy means "I dream about you". Eternal dream, oblivion, fantasy – "my dreams are only about you."

Garden poppy – "let's love each other, while we have time!". Peony is for a happy wedding, a merry life.

Camomile – means youth, innocence, distrustfulness, romanticism. The white lilac is innocence. Purple lilacs are the first love.

Red tulip in the language of flowers means confession of love.

Lily of the Valley – reliability. Let us talk about the etiquette of presenting flowers.

It is not customary for a young girl to be given bright red flowers. She can be presented with lilies of the valley, tulips ..., and all that she loves. A beloved woman can be given orchids, but it is not recommended to give her carnations.

Give roses or bouquet collected from different flowers and elegantly decorated to your mother. It should be avoided to dark and quickly fading flowers to older women. You can give a small bouquet in light colours, but not white, since white is the colour of the bride.

Elderly people are usually given flowers with long flower stalks – gladiolus. The language of flowers is complex and not clear to everyone, but if the bouquet is given from the heart, the services of an interpreter will not be required.

Roses, tulips, carnations, gerberas can be freely presented in any situation.
